Men aged 55 or over can enter and should mark the entry form. This does not exclude them from any other competitions. Thw lowest 16 handicap returns from the Seniors will qualify for match play stages.

Seniors outside the 16 qualifiers will be included in the Beal Trophy or Chalmers Rose Bowl. If any seniors do not wish to be included, kindly advise before play on monday.

• 1 - The competition shall be open to Amateur Golfers who are members of recognised Golf Clubs.
• 2 - The Competition will be played in accordance with the R & A Rules and the Local Rules of Berwick-Upon-Tweed(Goswick)Golf Club.
• 3 - Mens entry fee £90 - Maximum handicap 18.
  Ladies entry fees £50 - Maximum handicap 36.
• 4 - Minimum age 16 years or category 1 or 2 if younger
• 5 - Competitors must lodge their names and addresses, together with Entry Fee with Match Secretaries, Goswick Golf Club as soon as possible before Monday 17th July 2006. Late entries may be accepted at the discretion onf the Committee.
• 6 - The Committee of Berwick-Upon-Tweed(Goswick)Golf Club reserve the right to reject any entry, to alter or amend any of the foregoing rules, if the competition is oversubscribed, decide places and to decide finally any dispute which may arise in connection with the competition.
• 7 - The trophies will remain the property of Berwick-Upon-Tweed(Goswick)Golf Club to whom they shall be returned by the First Day of July the following year.
• 8 - No competitor will receive more than one prize on any day and maximum prize win during the week will be limited in accordance with the R & A Rules on amateur status.
• 9 - Play will commence at 8.00am. The draw for the stroke play qualifying will be displayed in the clubhouse on or before monday 24th July 2006.
• 10 - Only competitors going forward to the match-play stages are eligible for the qualifying prizes.
• 11 - Ties must be played at the time and on the date stated
